There are problem reported
with Apple iphone that iphone 5s, 6 stuck on call ending. Even on
iPhone 7 and iPhone X/8, Running iOS 13.1 and iOS 12. the problem is reported by the user that iphone 7
freezes when calling. Recently bought iPhone XS/7 gets stuck on the call screen. There
is no ringing sound, no sound from the person on the other side of the call.
Home Buttons, as well as Lock Screen Buttons, becomes ineffective. User will
have to wait until the person on the other end hangs up the call. iPhone frozen
on calls and the buttons become unresponsive. The issue is very concerning,
especially on a new iPhone. Sometimes only thing you have is to hard reboot to recover from frozen screen
of iphone bug. I will recommend reinstalling the iOS with iTunes or
iCloud however the chances are that the fix would be temporary.
Fix 1 : If your using a
different sim card/carrier to that when you first activated the phone try this
Update your carrier settings on your
iPhone or iPad
Carrier settings updates let your carrier provider update carrier
network and related settings to improve cellular network connectivity and
performance or add support for features like VoLTE or Wi-Fi Calling. When a carrier setting update is available, you will be prompted to
install it. If your carrier releases a mandatory update, you'll see an OK
button instead of an Update button to let you know that the update was
downloaded and installed. If you insert a new SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you
need to download the carrier settings for your new carrier. Hopefully
this will fix the issue.
Fix 2: Network provider settings
Possible cause:
You have no Mobile Data connection. Either under Settings > General
> Network > Mobile Data is turned off or the network has blocked Mobile
Data due to a fault or lack of calling credit.
Also, quite possible that for the described problem you have Settings
> General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Automatically Send
selected.
How to Fix iPhone not ending call :
Go to Settings > General > Network > Mobile Data and turn it
back on (if unintentionally switched off.) If intentionally switched off,
toggling on then off works for some. Again this is a temporary fix. If you have
calling restrictions affecting Mobile Data, get them lifted / buy more credit
In case above fix did not worked for
you, select Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage >
Don't Send. N.B. if this your permanent solution don't expect next year's
iPhone X to be quite as good as you hoped - Apple need this information to spot
software bugs and guide phone design.
Fix 3: Change sim card settings
To solved the iphone 6 call ending freeze:
Go to Settings
Go to Phone section
Scroll down to SIM Applications
A black popup (like the one we want to remove) should appear with additional
actions
Click on the appropriate action like "Discreet/Silent
response"
