Fix 1: Hard reset iphone 8 (Recommended)
Rebooting your iPhone help to

hard restart to your iphone. This seems to be working solution for many users.
Press and quickly release the
volume up button and then the volume down button of iphone 8. Now press and hold the
side button until you see the Apple logo. Once the phone is on again you should

Fix 2: Make sure Auto lock time is set

go into sleep mode just because you have accidently selected Never in the
auto-lock options.

Fix 3: Toggle Assistive Touch

help try resetting all setting. But be aware as this can cause all iphone data
loss. So before performing this make sure you take a back up of your iphone and then reset the device.
