iPhone X screen not turning off FIX

Many iPhone X uses are facing issue with screen always turned on issue. iPhone X screen stays always on, and never goes to sleep. This is causing huge unnecessary battery drain. The same screen reaminin on is reported with iPhone 8 as well. iPhone X/8 screen will not turn off automatically when not being used unless right hand button is pressed.
While the user touch the screen to wake but don’t unlock it, the screen simply sits there ON and never turns off. Screen won’t turn off unless I press the sleep/wake button. Some users say that issue goes away after a reboot but comes back after day or two.
