Fix 1 : Check your exchange server settings:

The error can also be generated by Exchange account of your calendar. To fix any usch issue go to Settings->Accounts & Passwords->[exchange account] . now switched off the calendar, chose to delete it from iphone, and finally switched it back on.

Fix 2: Account setting

Go to settings>Accounts and passwords>the account of your email> calendars. Turn off the calendar, reboot the phone and turn the calendar back on going in the same way. If it is still does not work go to turning off the settings>calendar>accounts path to turn off the calendar

Fix 3: iCloud settings:

Step 1: open icloud account. open Settings > [your iphone name] > iCloud.

Step 2: Slide to turn off Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders.

Step 3: If you see your calendars or reminders on iCloud.com or any of your devices, you can choose Delete from My [device]. If not, choose Keep on My [device].
Step 4: Wait a few minutes, then turn on Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders again.

Fix 4: Don’t add location in invite:

If you are adding location in the invite it could be a problem as it is seen that none of invites go if you put an address in the location field. Better add the location in the notes section. The calendar should be able to send invite without location and the popup error “your response to the invitation cannot be sent” should not come again.
