How to restart iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR (Soft and hard restart)


Apple have schedule launch of iPhone XS in September 2018 and iPhone XR a month later to that with latest iOS 12. This new iPhone model will be of more or less same feature like iPhone X which was launched by Apple in 2017. If you have purchases the iPhone XR/XS Max or you are planning to purchase one anytime soon, below are the steps to restart these iPhone XS/XR.
A soft reset can be helpful to resolve issues like continuous resetting/rebooting, iPhone crashing/ freezing/ no ringtone etc.  While hard reset can be very useful to restart the iOS system and can fix bugs not solved from soft reset.

How to Soft restart iPhone XS/SR :
1.       Press and hold the Side button (located on the top right edge).
2.      When "slide to power off" appears, release buttons.
3.      Slide the Power switch right. This will take some time to turn off the device.

4.      Now to turn on the iPhone, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears then release.

5.      The phone will start normally now.

How to force Restart (Hard) iPhone XS/ XR :

If your iPhone is unresponsive and you cannot restart the phone normally please follow below steps to make a hard rest to your iPhone :
1.       Quickly Press and release the Volume up button on the top side of iPhone XS, then press and quickly release the Volume down button.
2.      Now finally,  press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
3.      This will hard restart your iPhone XS/XR/X
