Mac user you might be looking to print screen in mac and may find it different if
you have recently purchased a macbook air or macbook pro. You will be happy to
know that there are a multiple way of screenshot methods available in MacOS. There
may be circumstances where you may prefer a way to take customized screen area

List of way to print screen on Mac:
1.
Using keyboard- command + Shift + 3 (or 4)
2.
Without keyboard- using Grab,
screen preview utilities
Solution 1: Print screen mac keyboard –full Screen capture
To take
print of Mac full screen you can use a keyboard short cut :
Press command + Shift + 3.
It will immediately take a screen shot of your
mac and will be saved on the desktop with name like picture_Numeric(numberOfscreen-capture)
Solution 2: To capture a
customized area of Mac screen
In case
you want to take customized portion of screen to capture and print.
Press Command+Shift+4
It will
immediately take a screen shot of your mac and will be saved on the desktop
with name like picture_Numeric(numberOfscreen-capture)
Solution 3: Capturing a particular window
If you
want to capture a particular window in the active screen of Mac. You can do
this be taking following steps:
- Press Command+Shift+4
-now
the cursor will change to a cross-hair
(+).
- please press the spacebar, the cursor
now changes to a camera icon.
- Now click
the camera icon on the window that you want to capture and the screen shot
picture will be saved on the desktop
Solution 4: Using Grab for
screen print on Mac
If you don’t
want to use keyboard and want to take screen print on Mac without using keyboard
please use Grab, which is a program installed in all mac and can be used to
take screen shot from menu bar. With Grab you can take a screenshot of a
particular area of the screen, an window, or the entire screen Please use below
steps for same:

Open application folder->Utilities. Once you
launch it, you’ll see an icon for the program in your dock.

use the Capture menu system to take screenshots

Grab also offers timed screen shot option which
will take screen shot in every 10 seconds.
Solution 5: Using preview for screen print
Preview
is the default tool in Mac that lets you open files of almost all format. It
offers more like editing and even taking screen shot.
Open Preview->Goto
–File –Take screenshot- (you can chose
the option here)
