Users of
iPhone are reporting issue that the iPhone XR keeps on freezing while recording
videos from camera, Video recording stopped with a freezing screen randomly, It video of iPhone XR gets random freeze and
the video stops recording. During Video recording the frame freezes audio
continues . Video recordings freezes on iPhone XR while recording videos using
the native camera app.

The same issue is seen with iPhone XS which also freezes
while recording videos from camera app. There is no pattern or time when the
video recording will freeze in the iPhone and it will start randomly for some
time. The Video recording randomly stops in iPhone XR after 1-2 minutes.

Hard/soft
reset does not help in fixing this issue and iPhone keeps freezing/ hanging
while doing a video record. Also in iPhone XS the video recording will frozen
up and you will have to restart the recording which is very annoying. This
seems to be software bug and happens multiple times. Brand new iphone XS MAX and XR
on iOS 12.2 and it started to freeze
while recording. This is big issue for the people who enjoy recording video
from their iPhone.

How to fix the issue : iPhone XR and iPhone XS Max video recording freezes iOS 12.2/12.3 :
Fix 1: install your device manually
Please
take a backup of your iPhone before doing these steps.
1) Make a
factory reset

2)
Install iPhone as new iPhone ( Don't restore phone via iTunes or iCloud)
3) Get
your data (contacts, photos, calendar etc.) by using your Apple-ID
4) get
your apps from the app store
5) load
you music from the iCloud
6) change
the settings as per your requirements
7) Now
the video should record properly.
Fix 2: Restore from iTunes
I’m not
sure but I think I solved it , I update it through iTunes and if that’s not
working for you try to restore it . Ever since , I got nonissue with it .
Fix 3: Download third Party App like MoviePro
Many
iPhone XR users have confirmed that using third party apps from Appstore seems
to record much stable videos that the Apple camera video. So you should also
give it a try until the issue is fixed by Apple in upcoming iOS 12 releases.
