iPhone X Safari keeps Redirecting to Spam Website “myntre.org”: iOS 12.1.4 [FIX]


Many iPhone XS/7 users are reporting a virus in safari browser that it is redirecting automatic to myntre.org while using safari in iPhone xs and iOS 12.1.4.  The redirects is happening irrespective of website nature and happen on various popular and trustworthy sites. So many iPhone users are seeing this fraudulent website myntre.org.



When iPhone users open any webpage and let the page load and waits for it. The page loading icon on top of the screen goes away and a few moments later the website redirects to http:// myntre.org/telenet/index.html? or nljpergeriihrgerg.arotrk.com/. The ad pretends to be from Telenet and tells You won a smartphone (but its obviously fake).

The virus is only for safari browser users as when same website is surfed with Firefox on Windows no suspected redirection happens. It just the safari browser on iPhone, iPad 4/mini is facing the spam site automatic redirections.


How to fix iPhone safari bug/virus redirecting to spam website myntre.org/ on iPhone XS/8/6s and iPad mini on iOS 12.1.4:



Fix 1 : Do a DNS flush


Such issues occur when you have open a website affected with malware and it will further install a javascript in your iPhone which causes redirection to spammy websites. First thing to do for fix is to do a  Do a DNS flush.
=> Go to General
=> Reset/
=> Reset network settings

Now open the any website and check if it fixes the issue.


Fix 2: Clear Safari Cache

 To remove anything malicious thing install/saved by any website , go to-> Settings>Safari>Clear Website Data and History Note: Do not do this if you don't want any bookmarks, passwords or important things that are saved on your safari or else they will disappear. Save them on a physical note first.




Fix 3: Remove profiles from iPhone

Goo to Settings->General and scroll to the bottom. Now Just below VPN (and above Regulatory) is there an entry? It is probably called Profiles, but might be called Device Management. If it is there open it and see if there is a profile installed. If there is, delete it and restart your iphone. And don't accept invitations to install any more profiles.

Fix 4: install an ad blocker.



It is always recommended to install ad blocker in yout iPhone. Install an ad blocker, enable it, then repeat Fix 2. With an effective ad blocker you may be able to go back to the affected site.
