iCalendar Birthdays are shown one day late or ahead on iOS 12 [Solved]


Many iPhone X/8/7 users are facing issue in iCalender that the birthdays in iOS contacts from outlook.com shift by 1 day. For example a birthday correctly entered in Outlook.com for March-8-1995 would display in iPhone contacts as March-9-1995. The iPhone is showing birthdays one day late or ahead for many of the contacts but not all. Not only the iPhone but iPad shows birthdays one day later than they should be on the latest iOS 12 as well.

Not only birthday but other reminder for special day also are shown in one day in advance or late in contacts’ details in iCalendar on iPhone and iPad. It is difficult to guess for a normal iPhone users that Why iphone 7 calendar dates off by 1 day in iOS 12. Even when you manually try to correct the date, it won’t last longer than a second and revert back to one day shifted date. This is really annoying for iPhone users as due to shifted birthday dates one can easily miss actual day to wish somebody. Many users are facing this issue after iOS 12 update that Office 365 (Exchange) and iPhone birthday shifted by 1 day.

How to fix iPhone X birthday moved by one day in calendar on iOS 12 :


Fix 1: Resync exchange accounts


Please first check how many calendar accounts you are syncing with iCalender. To Check that Go to
Settings Calendar Accounts It will list all the accounts you have
Now delete these account one by one and reactivate them. One complete please check the iCaldener entries. The birthday should be on expected date.

Fix 2: Check Time Zone settings


 look in Settings - General - Date and Time and make sure your Time Zone is set properly. The leap year idea is interesting, have a look also that your date and time is accurate. If this also does not work.
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time > and make sure that Set Automatically is on

Also be sure Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll down to Time Zone Override is switched to Off

Fix 3: Reset All settings


One way to fix this issue is to reset the iPhone or iPad setting. Go to Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings. This will only reset setting of iPhone and check Calender dates once done.
