For
Some iPhone XR/XS Max, 6s user are facing issue with alarm song not ringing as
set by the user. For some reason all alarms now play the default ring “radar” instead
of the song that is manually assigned. The iPhone alarm “radar” sound plays
even though the song is showing in the alarm set up. That radar noise is the
worst thing to wake up to! The iPhone alarm issue seems to have occurred after
iOS 12 update.

The
iphone alarm will play default “radar” tone instead of selected song by the
users. Some of the users even approached the Apple help support and did factory
reset to their iPhone, but that also do not seems to fix the issue at all. It
seems that Apple support does also not know why alarm keeps defaulting to radar sound instead
of song selected. Some of the times the
issue seems to be intermittent as the iPhone will play the song in alarms and 10 minutes
later it won’t.
How to fix iPhone X/XR/XS Max/7/8/6s plus Alarm not playing song :
Fix 1: Restart the Apple music
Below steps
seems to fix the issue you should also give it try.

Close Apple Music
·
Go to Settings
·
In the settings, go to Music
·
Turn off iCloud Music Library
·
Restart your device.
·
Go back to settings, then turn iCloud Music
Library back on.
·
Open Apple Music and reload your library.
·
(Optional) Download some music that you would
like to use as your alarm, and set an alarm with that song near the current
time to see if it’ll trigger the right sound.
Fix 2: Download the song locally on to your iPhone
If the
song has not been downloaded to your phone it will not play if it is on iCloud.
Please check and download on each song which is set for alarm. Check the song
or ringtone you picked, if it has the iCloud symbol next to it, click it so
that it’s downloaded to your phone. Once you will download the songs the iPhone
should play the songs for alarms now.
Fix 3 : Resync the iPhone to iTunes
If your
iPhone alarm still does not rings the song, you can try re sync the Music
library to iTunes again. This way you can eliminate any improper song transfer.
