Many
iPhone users are facing issue with Apple Carplay that while receiving an
incoming call there is no voice sound coming out from Car audio system. The
issue is spread across different iPhone and card models like Land Rover, BMW,
Benz, Audi etc. The issue happens on the latest iOS 12 releases and Car audio
is not working for incoming calls only. The user cannot answer inbound/incoming
calls on CarPlay - only option to hear is speaker on the phone.

Apple CarPlay no sound for incoming call on car speakers with iPhone |
Incoming
falls on Apple CarPlay stopped working with iOS 12 update and reported with
latest iOS 12.2 versions as well. Apple Carplay works normally for all features
and just not for incoming calls. When an iPhone X users receives a call and after
accepting call, Audio source sets to the phone earpiece with the only option to
switch to speaker. The iPhone user is
not able to receive any incoming call on Car Audio while using USB cables or
USB ports in the car.
One
user reported the issue
“I
have a Jaguar E-Pace, and having this exact same problem. I'm not sure when it
happened (and what changed to cause it), but it is happening 100% of the time
on incoming calls. I basically can't answer calls when driving (as per someone
else's comment I'm not playing around with phone whilst driving) - this is
utterly useless!! I've tried multiple USB cables and USB ports in car - same
problem always happens. I'm hoping an imminent iOS update will fix the problem,
as I'm sure it's not the car (that software definitely hasn't been updated to
cause the issue in the first place)...”
