iPhone X/XR/XS Max user are facing issue while making
a facetime call that after they are don’t with the call they are unable to hang
up FaceTime call or not able to end FaceTime call. There is no way to
disconnect the FaceTime call. The issue of FaceTime call not ending is there in
iOS 12.2 as well with latest iPhone XS Max and iPhone 11. This is very irritating for the
iPhone users as they can’t hang up FaceTime call.

FaceTime is very known and liked feature by most of
the iPhone users and recently in iOS 12, Apple have lauched GroupFaceTime
option as well where you can group FaceTime many iPhone users at same time. But
Apple moving forward with updating their FaceTime feature, they should also
focus upon basic functionality test of their FaceTime call feature. Hopefully
Apple will address this soon.
One iPhone XS users reported as
“FaceTime called someone, upon furiously trying to hang up
the call, the red X to hang up disappeared, and there was no way to bring that
button back up to hang up. To test it, I FaceTime called my wife, and I tapped
elsewhere, then the red X disappeared and no swiping or tapping brought the red
X back up."
The
issue is really frustrating for iPhone users as it not only that user won’t be
able to disconnect FaceTime call, even if you close the application it will be
still calling. Tapping the screen did
not bring the "X" icon even Tapping the three dots "..."
did not help in anything. The iPhone XR, XS Max are stuck on FaceTime call
ending for hours. iPhone is frozen and can’t even get to settings to shut it
down. No buttons work, can’t access any apps and the shut down feature isn’t
working.

Fix 1: Restart using Volume button.
Such issues are usually software glitches that can be
removed after a normal restarting the iPhone, but it this still does not work
you should try below steps to get shut down option on the iPhone.
iPhone X: Press and quickly release the Volume Up
button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold
the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
Fix 2: Update the iOS version
Apple is generally aware of such widespread issues and
they are expected to release permanent
fix for these issues in upcoming release of iOS 12. So please keep updating the
iOS version to get a permanent fix for the FaceTime Call ending not working
issue
