Many
iPhone 11 Pro users are facing issue with the front facing camera of the iPhone.
The issue is while making video with apps like instagaram, Snapchat, Facebook,
and trying to zoom the picture is not recording smoothly, the video start to
skipping and lagging, quality gets distorted. The video recorded in iPhone 11
is not recorded smoothly during the zoom and it appears to be somewhat
step-zooming. The issue is not only with SnapChat but other apps like Facebook,
Whatsapp, Instagram are having same issue in recording video from front camera.
iPhone 11 Pro front camera quality issue |
The
issue seems to with iPhone rather than application, doesn’t matter whether using
Snapchat or Instagram stories, it skips when zooming in and out. Not only
iPhone 11 stucks while recording video from front camera but also have poor quality
in low light. This is annoying for
iPhone users as it is studder/glitchy
zoom with front camera on Snapchat & Instagram
Restarting
or restoring the iPhone does not seems to help in this. When contacted the Apple support, they do acknowledge
this issue and expect this to fixed in upcoming release.
One
users reported as
“I want
to cry. I miss my iphone 8 plus, the quality of the front camera is AWFUL. It's
not just on snapchat or instagram either, it's also on the camera app itself on
my iphone. Unless I have really REALLY good lighting, I'm getting a super blurred
android looking camera.”
How to fix iPhone 11 Max Pro zooms in really slowly and in steps on Snapchar, Facebook, Whatsapp, TikTok, Instagram on iOS 13:
Fix 1 : Update the iOS 13
Some
iPhone 11 Pro Max users facing this issue
have reported that the problem got solved with latest iOS 13.1.2 update. But
not happening for every users of iPhone 11. Some iPhone users are still facing
the same problem with the iOS 13.1.
Fix 2 : Turn off HD
recording
Turning
off 4K recording (and high fps) the problem is gone. But switching back to 720
pixels and 30 fps is not really a satisfying solution when buying a 1000 dollar
Fix 3: Keep updating
apps
With
the large increase in resolution of the front camera on this phone (with
corresponding large increase in per photo data requiring processing), it is not
surprising that many 3rd party apps were
initially not ready to handle it well and possibly they will working and
rolling out permanent update for their apps. So keep updating the as well for
fixing any app side bug.
