How to fix iPhone X asking for random Apple ID Password after restore

Many iPhone X/XR/XS Max and iPhone 11 user are facing issue after restoring the iPhone, the iPhone is asking to enter random user Apple ID and password. When user restore the iPhone from iCloud back up, a message will display to "Enter the password for my Apple ID RANDOM_USER@icloud.com eg scdance@gmail.com. . iPhone X : random Apple ID on restore

While restoring the new iPhone from old iPhone iCloud backup, the iPhone first said that my iCloud backup contains purchases from that other weird Apple ID. Which is not true, as I have only ever bought things with my own Apple ID. Even if I did accidentally buy something with a friend's or family ID, one would recognize the email. The email id popped up in Apple ID is totally unknown to me.

Not only during the restore process, sometimes the iPhone randomly asks the random Apple ID after the restore process. The issue in iPhone asking for other Apple Id on restoration is the data kept in iPhone that wasn’t downloaded by your Apple Id. This can be apps, iBooks, Songs etc. In this article we will details you about possible fix for the issue “iphone keeps asking for random apple id passwords”

How to fix iphone asking for wrong apple id/ random Apple ID and Password on iPhone XR/XS Max/11 Pro and iPhone 6s/7/8 Plus: iOS 13

Fix 1 : Check the content that isn't downloaded from your apple ID.

Generally it's something like an app or internal App subscription that is associated with a different Apple ID.  It’s because an app was originally purchased with another Apple id and is being loaded onto iPhone where the Apple id doesn't match. You can ignore or dismiss the pop up and move on. It will not install the app as restore. You can reinstall the app later from Appstore.

Fix : Manage songs in your iPhone

When you restore from iCloud backup, the iPhone read the Apple IDs in music metadata. Usually this issue will happen when you downloaded music, likely via torrent, where the original mp3 files were purchased with someone else Apple ID and added it to your library.  Two ways to fix this issue :
1.    Set convert too AAC, AAC will not remember the apple id of the songs

2.   Other way is to cancel it and it won't come back. You can just keep cancelling or ignoring and iPhone should not pop up with some other user email/Apple Id.

Fix 3: Stop the restoration  process

If you are getting pop up asking random Apple Id after restore process is complete, this is due to iPhone doing restore process in background and keeps on asking for required Apple ID. There are two ways to stop it
1.    As above mentioned delete the problematic apps or songs.

2.   Other way is stop the restoration process. Go into the iCloud settings on the iPhone and check if it reports that it's still restoring from the backup. You can stop this by going to Settings-> backup-> stop restoring. But please note that you may miss some pending restoration and some data may not load properly.
