How to fix iPhone X/XR/XS Max, iPhone 11, iPad rapidly connect/disconnect with macbook air: iOS 13 :
Workaround : A common cause of this problem is faulty connection with cable. Please try to connect iPhone and mac properly, otherwise changing the cable position slightly may help.
Fix 1: Reset Location & Privacy and Trust this computer
Reset your “location & privacy” settings in the reset section of iPhone. Your iPhone will ask you to trust the computer, and this will fix iPhone and mac connection drop issue.
Fix 2: Reset the USB ports with terminal command
The iPhone disconnecting after few seconds from mac can be an issue with Mac USB ports. One good way to fix the issue is to restart the MacBook Pro USB ports. Rerminal command to restart the USB port and it always gives a solid connection after.
Below is the command to execute on terminal:
1. On your mac go to Applications > Utilities >terminal.
2. Type this commands > sudo killall -STOP -c usbd
3. Hit Enter
Fix 3: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on Mac.
· Make sure to Unplug the iPhone
· Turn off your Mac and turn on the Mac and immediately press and hold the Option, Command, P, and R keys together. Keep holding them for about 20 seconds. When you hear a start up sound then you can release the keys.
· And your Mac will restart.
· This will reset the NVRAM and PRAM
Fix 4: Toggle Left USB-port to Right USB-Port
If you are using Left USB port to connect to iPhone please try with Right USB port or vice a versa. Sometimes the port is gone faulty and other port may work properly.
Fix 5:Force restart iPhone/iPad.
Different version of iPhone models require different steps to hard restart:
Face ID iPad: press and release the volume up button and then press and release the volume down button and then press and hold the Top button until your iPad restarts.
iPhone 8 and later: press and release the volume up button and then volume down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
iPhone 7: press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons together until you see the Apple logo.
Home button iPad models and iPhone 6s and earlier models: press and hold the Side and Home buttons together until you see the Apple logo.
