How to Fix Unable to update Apps on Appstore, error message “Unable to purchase” iOS 13:
Many iPhone users are facing issue with latest iPhone 11 Pro Max/XS MAX/XR that after update to iOS 13/13.3 iPhone users are getting issue with installed apps and installing updates from Appstore, (Unable to access the Appstore). Accessing iTunes & App Store settings causes the settings app to freeze. Due to this iPhone is unable to access the Appstore and large number of apps are pending for update.
Once the apps are not working fine on iPhone, only way to fix this is to reboot the iPhone but only works for few days. It seems like apps are pending for update but when you will try to check Appstore, even the Appstore starts hanging.

Every time when iPhone is restarted it gives an error “Unable to purchase” message. You can press OK and close this message but not sure what is causing “Unable to purchase” error message on each restart of iPhone. It was working fine before iOS 13 install.
How to fix “Unable to purchase” error on iPhone 11/XR/XS MAX/7/6s Plus:
Fix 1 : Delete the obsolete Apps
“Unable to Purchase” message can be caused by one of the app installed in your iPhone, but due to some reason the App is not working and unable to update. One of the common reason why this happened is suppose you have an app installed in the app, and after you update the iOS-> iOS restore will try to compatible version of the app, but if the app is not available on the Appstore, iphone will give error “Unable to purchase”.
Easiest way is to check your phone showing the cloud download icon. This can be something left over from my phone upgrade. Try to download this-> it will take you to Appstore-> if the app is not available it will say “The app is no longer available”. Delete the app from iPhone and this should fix the Appstore issue “Unable to purchase”.
One other way to fix is hit and trial, start removing/uninstalling potential apps from your iPhone and check if the issue is affected after this.
Fix 2: Delete downloads.28.sqlitedb
When you are unable to install or update apps, one quick way to fix the issue, is to delete incomplete file from the iPhone.
· You need a file explorer like iFile or Filza.
· Navigate to/var/mobile/Media/Downloads
· Search for file like : downloads.14.sqlitedb
· Delete that file only.
· Reboot iphone
· Check now, apps should be updating fine.
Fix 3: Logout and login on Appstore
Please try to logout and login back to Appstore and check if the apps are updating normally. To do open Appstore->tap on profile photo-> scroll all the way down to Account page-> tap logout button. (forced closed the App Store and settings)->restart the iPhone-> log in back again.
This has helped many iPhone users to fix the issue and apps started updating again.
Fix 4: Full reset iPhone
If none of above setting works one way to fix the issue is to full reset your iPhone. This will restore original setting of iPhone.
