How to fix Xbox One Dashboard Not Loading issue ?

 

Many Xbox users are reporting issue with Xbox One and Xbox 360 that Xbox won't load the dashboard. The home screen is not loading on the Xbox One. The issue started after the users did an update to Xbox one after this the Xbox One Dashboard is not loading and stuck on black screen which is also called Black screen of death.

Restarting the Xbox also does not help and the Xbox one Dashboard won’t load at all. The Xbox One loads up but then the dashboard is completely black, also in some cases the Xbox One Stuck on Green Loading Screen. Some users are seeing weired error message on Xbox screen like System Error: E101 00000504 8B050041

How to fix Xbox One not loading Dashboard after the update :

Fix 1 : Hard Reset Xbox One

 

Generally a software may cause different issue in the System which may be minor glitches related to registry etc. To fix general software issue you should try hard restting the Xbox One. You can hard reset the Xbox One by holding the power button for 20 seconds Once done that now clear the cache. To clear the cache on an Xbox One, fully shut down the console. Next, disconnect the power cord from the back of the console for two minutes  After this Xbox should show Dashboard normally.

Fix :  Reset the Xbox to factory settings

 If Xbox is not shown Dashboard at all then you should try the factory settings. To do that

-         Unplug your Xbox for about 15 to 30 seconds then plug it back in.

-         While it's still off hold the controller sync button on the side and the disc eject button until you hear the startup sound twice or more and the settings pop up on screen.

-         Also don't forget to select the settings that let you keep all your games.

 

Fix 3: Click report a problem

There is another workaround for Xbox not showing Dashboard, all you have to do is hold home button and the you will get the turn off screen, click report a problem and create one and send it, dashboard will be back and you can take control.

 

Fix 4: Try offline mode

After the update disconnect the Xbox from the internet and then try to start it, it may  take forever because it's trying to connect to xbox live with a slow internet connection.
