Many iPhone users are facing issue with the
reddit app playing random video on some posts. The Rediff app is showing incorrect video on the iPhone. The issue started recently on
the latest version of iOS 14.6 and latest Reddit app for iOS devices. The issue
is if you have Joined a page on reddit and it shows a video on your home page
of reddit app, if you try to play this video on the app, it will load dark
screen for 1-2 seconds and suddenly loads a completely random video from other
channel post. The video loaded by reddit is completely random and changes

This is clearly a bug in the reddit due to
which videos are playing randomly while selecting a video to play on home
screen. The issue is with Video only and not with the photos on reddit app. The
issue is now persisting from quite a long time and there is no official statement
from reddit on this. Clearly Reddit should test its all feature before rolling
out new version of app and it is a broken functionality of video player.

Workaround: There is a
workaround to play video you want to watch in reddit. While trying to play a
video from home page of reddit app if it loads random video, then to watch the
actual video you should open the channel page and then scroll down to find the
video. From there the video should load normally.
Please follow below steps:
1. Play the video on reddit app. It will load
random video.
2. Return back to your home page
3. Now tap on channel name->open the channel

5. The video should load normally now.
