Many Spotify users are facing issue with showing Album Art on the lock screen. The issue started after the updating the Spotify to the latest update. Earlier the lock screen was showing the album art of the song along with notification control. But after the recent app update the Spotify album art not showing lock screen. lock screen shows default wallpaper instead of the album art on Spotify.

The issue is with the Spotify app only and the other apps are working fine on the PC/Mobile and showing the album art on lock screen. The issue is annoying for the users as they are not able to see album art name quickly on the lock screen. The issue seems to be on different devices including iPhone 12,11, Samsung Galaxy, One Plus, Windows PC, iPad etc

Fix 1: Tap on the Title
There is a workaround to the issue which is to Tap on the title. Tapping the track title should pop up the album cover
Fix 2 : Change Android setting
If you are facing the issue on the Android then Spotify not showing album art could be related to the settings on Phone. To fix the issue on your android notification setting: settings -> apps & notifications -> configure notifications -> notifications -> spotify -> set toggle "playback" to "on".
Fix 3: Use third party app
There are app on Playstore and Appstore which may help to show Album Art full screen on the lock screen of phone. One such example is Kwlp APP from the Playstore and it set a custom lockscreen, and this always shows the playing artwork. Please make sure to install only genuine apps from Playstore.
Fix 4: For MacOS users
If spotify is not showing Album art on lock screen on macbook then you should try to do a full clean reinstall after trashing Spotify Cache and Application Support files from mac and after this the problem should get solve.
