Many
iPhone 11/12 users are reporting issue with iPhone that iPhone will Silence the
ringtone for incoming calls. The iPhone
is Silencing calls from any number outside of My Favorites list/Contact list.
For a person saved in the contact list

Fix 1: Change Silence Setting
From
the latest update of iOS , there is now a setting avilable which will Silence
all the call from unknown number and this feature is turned on by default. On
your iPhone Go to SETTINGS then PHONE then down to SILENCE UNKNOWN CALLERS and
CALL BLOCKING AND IDENTIFICATION or you can directly "search" for Silence Unknown Calls. Turn off the Silence calls from Unknown
numbers.

Fix 2 : Sound and Haptics settings
Go to
Settings/Sounds & Haptics. Make sure there is a sound assigned to Ringtone.
Now chose a ringtone with louder sound compared to other.
Fix 3: Reboot the iPhone
A
normal reboot can fix the software glitch in the iPhone. If you are also facing
iPhone randomly Silencing the call issue then a reboot to the iPhone might help
you. But many users report that this will temporarily fix the issue and may
start to appear after few days of use.
