Many iPhone users are facing issue with Calendar app of iPhone (also known as iCal) not showing up UK Holidays. Not only iPhone but also iPad’s iCal is not showing UK holiday for year 2022. Since all the iPhone models including iPhone 12 Pro Max,11,XR are not showing UK holidays in the Calendar. It seems that in iOS 15,14 UK holidays are missing from the calendar from Jan 2022. This is very strange that the issue is with UK calendar and also with various other country calendar as well like Swedish Holiday are also not shown . This is annoying issue as the iPhone/macbook users can’t see 2022 holidays or events, and this not able to set work appointment which is very frustrating.

The iPhone setting are done all checked properly and iPhone UK Holidays subscribed is ticked under Calendars & the region is also set to UK but still the holidays are not showing up but the UK Holidays are not still showing up in iCalendar. Not only Holiday but events are also missing in iCal. iPhone users usually get holiday list at least a year in advance in order to plan for the Bank holidays and Easter etc but for year 2022 there are no holiday list in iCal.
it seems that iCalendar not showing country holiday list is a bug covering many countries holiday calendar and there is no immediate fix from Apple for this. As per the Apple response, Apple team are still looking into this and the issue is escalated to Engineering team but till now no fix is available for the iCal missing holiday details for country. Fix 1 : Change Language & Region Settings :
If iCal is not showing Holiday events in iPhone then below settings can help to fix the issue :
Steps to fix iCal not showing UK holiday:
- -In you iCal Untick Show Holidays Calendar and quit Calendar.
- -Make sure your iPhone region is set to the UK > Go to Setting on iPhone->General-> Language & Region>Region=United Kingdom
- -Also change the iPhone Language to= 'English'
- -Restart your iPhone or log out and back in.
- -Open Calendar, tick the box again, the UK Holiday calendar should appear now.
Fix 2: Sign Out and Sign in back to iCloud
Other thing that you can try is Signout from the iCloud account from the iPhone/iPad and reboot the iPhone. Login back to your icloud account and check back if the Holidays are shown or not.
