The LTE/5G/4G are slow on the iPhone 15 in comparison to older iPhone 12 Pro Max. Slow internet 4G/5G on iPhone 15 Pro max is reported by many iPhone users across the globe with different service provider like Verizon, AT&T and it is very frustrating to see such a basic functionality not working up to the expectation in the latest iPhone.

It seems to be issue with the new iPhone only as LTE/5G very slow after upgrading to iPhone 15 pro max. The older iPhone 12 Pro is giving almost double the speed than the new iPhone 15. Internet slow speed is not a new issue in the iPhones but it is not good to see the latest iPhone 15 to have such issue as in today’s world we expect phones to be reliable for net speed. A 100 mbps speed is showing speed below 20mbps. The same SIM card is showing speed around 100 mbps on iPhone 11.
Why Internet LTE/4G/5G is slower on iPhone 15 Pro Max :
Slow internet on iPhone 15 could be due to various reasons and usually could be due to issue of carrier's databases not updated to recognize iPhone 15 as being able to handle high speed data yet so they default to the slowest common mode available to all devices.
Other reason could be other reasons related to carrier, such as putting iPhone 15 in the "throttled data" category because again, iPhone 15 hardware is "unknown." and your iPhone 15 is given slow speed channels.
How to fix Slower 5G speed on iPhone 15 Pro Max:
Fix : Reset the network settings
If your iPhone 15 has some issue in the network setting which may cause the network issue in the iPhone and slow speed issue. To fix that you should try to reset the the network setting of iPhone. Go to settings->General->Reset or Transfer->Reset Network settings.
Fix : Delete third party app/VPN
If you are using any VPN in your iPhone that may also cause slow internet on the iPhone 15. Try removing any unknown third party app and check if this improves internet speed on iPhone 15
Fix :Check update with network carrier provider
Check for any updates from your network carrier provider regarding pending updates. Go to General > Settings > About, it will prompt you that a carrier update is available, or try clicking on the carrier version a couple times will prompt you to download it.
If there are no updates , report slow internet speed on iPhone 15 to carrier provider to get a permanent fix.
Fix : Try 5G Auto settings
Go to Settings > Mobile Data/Cellular > Mobile Data/Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data >Try using 5G auto and see if that makes any difference.
Fix : Update to latest iOS 17 version
