iPhone flashlight not working

Different iPhone models including latest iPhone 13 Pro max is reported with the issue and the flashlight stopped working randomly. The issue is faced with both rear and front flash light not working for the iPhone users.

Why Flashlight is not working on iPhone X/11/12/13 Pro Max :

The flash will not work if the rear camera has failed. Occasionally the Rear Camera IC (U2501) can fail & stop supplying power to the Rear Camera

The rear cameras may have suffered some internal damage causing them to no longer work. If the iPhone  flashlight button become greyed out when you unplug the rear cameras from the logic board or does it still act as if it could be turned on? You may be able to take it into a repair shop and they’ll be able to tell you if the cameras themselves are damaged or if the problem is localised to the logic board.

If you know the hardware of iPhone, Technically you should Check power lines 1v8, turn phone on and check with published dc voltage values for your phone and check with multimeter. U2501 is located on the rear of the board (just above the Wi-Fi Module) a method of testing & temporarily bypassing the switching mode of the IC is to remove U2501 & solder a jumper wire between the pads A1 & A2 beneath the IC

Try sending images through whatsapp to a group or individual. It would fail to send and whatsapp will freeze for sometime and then crash. Try doing this few times forcefully.
