Many
iPhone 13 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max are facing issue with iPhone brightness keeps on
dimming on its own. iPhone 13 pro max screen dimming randomly and the issue is
seen frequently on iPhone 12 as well. Even when the auto brightness is off the
screen keeps on dimming and iPhone gets hotter from back. If you try to
manually set the brightness to max level , the iPhone brightness will quickly

Fix: Change reduce whitepoint
To fix
iPhone 13,12 auto dimming -> Go to
Settings > Accessibility > Display and text size . Now change “reduce whitepoint” to 25% and kept turning it
on and off quickly. Further the screen gets brighter every time you turned it
on and off. Please give it a try and let us know if it helped.
Fix:Keep Auto brightness off
To fix iPhone changing screen brightness on its
own, go to auto brightness in the accessibility under display and text you need
to turn that off. Go to Settings->General->Accessibility->Display
Accommodations and you will see Auto-Brightness. Turn that off.
Fix : Turn off Attention aware features
To fix iPhone 13 auto dimming the
brightness-> Go to settings >accessibility>FaceID and Attention>
toggle off Attention aware features. With this feature in it causes the phone
to auto dim if you are not paying attention to the phone. Also go to settings>
display and brightness > Auto Lock > change setting to never.
Fix : Try troubleshooting
1. using the phone without case: Try replacing your iPhone case. It might help
to iPhone to cool down faster.
2. Remove protection glass: If
you are using a protection glass on your iPhone and if it is casuing iPhone to
heat up again and again, then we recommend you to try removing the glass and
check if this improve the problem.
3. External cooling: If
your iPhone is heating up too much, which may eventually dim the brightness,
please try externally cooling off the iPhone using external. Also close any app
which is suspected to consume too much battery.
Fix: Update iPhone to latest iOS
As
the iphone dimming the phone brightness seems to be linked to iOS feature,
therefore for permanent fix for the issue please update iPhone to latest iOS
version. As some users are reporting that in the latest iOS the iPhone is auto
dimmed to a acceptable level.
