Many iPhone 12,13
Pro Max users are facing issue with that the Apple Maps app no
longer shows traffic congestion as a red mark on a road. Earlier the Apple maps used to show the Traffic congestion
in a area or route but recently after the latest iOS 15.4.1 update Apple maps
have stopped showing Traffic. This is annoying as it makes Apple maps almost
useless in cities as Apple Maps app no longer
shows traffic congestion as a red mark on a road.
This is weird as the
Google maps on the same route keeps showing the traffic but its just Apple maps
does not load the traffic on the route on iPhone/ 7,8,Plus, XS Max and iPhone
12/13 Pro Max. iPad
Further the Traffic
doesn’t show up on Apple Maps or Waze from iPhone or Carplay, specially when
you open Apple maps to show as turn by
turn.

Fix
: Make Sure to Toggle “Traffic” Feature
If you are new to Apple
maps then please check that you have option to show traffic in Apple Map. Open
Apple map-> tap on i icon on right top side-> Now you will see option to
Toggle to traffic. Even if it is set to ON, make sure to toggle it by turning
OFF and then ON. After this the Apple map should load the traffic normally.

: Reboot device
Other possible reason why
Apple maps may not be showing the live traffic can be due to some bug in the
system. To fix that make sure to reboot all Apple device and check back again.

: Update iPhone
A permanent fix for the
Apple Maps traffic not working is to update the iPhone and CarPay to latest
version. The Apple maps issue started after iOS 15.3 and still now the user are
facing the issue. Hopefully Apple will soon release a fix for the issue and to
get that please ensure to update iPhone to latest iOS version always.
