Many iPhone users are
facing issue while deleting the contact from the list that iPhone Can t delete
contact and says that it is read only. Even when the contact is not synced with
any other email accounts unless iCloud on iPhone. While trying to delete
a contact iPhone keeps on giving error "Not
all contacts were deleted - One or more of the contact may be read-only".
The ususal process to delete a contact is to open Contacts app - Contacts tab - choose contact - edit - delete contact, but it seems to fail everytime for the users. Usually to fix such issue If you turned off all the accounts (check!) and you still have contacts then they are also on the iphone's memory. You will have to delete them once you have checked that they are also on the email account. It's a manual process.

then please try below icloud setting and check if it helps.

·
Say yes delete contacts from device
·
Restart the phone
·
Open Contacts app. It should be empty.
·
(If Contacts not empty then you have contacts stored
elsewhere and it needs to be addressed -come back)

Assuming they are empty, turn Contacts back on in
iCloud settings as above
·
Try again.
Fix : Delete from Whatsapp
To fix the unable to
delete read only contact on iPhone, you should check for apps on your iPhone
that uses your contact list. For example try to enter in WhatsApp --> Search
Contact --> Edit --> Delete from there.
After that enter in
Contact and it should be ok, you can delete the contact.
