Unable to add mobile number to iMessage, shows spinning wheel?

 

 Apple recently releases its flagship iPhone 14 Pro Max with latest iOS 16 and have done some major changes in hardware specially camera. But recently some of the iPhone users specially those who have moved from Android to iPhone are facing issue with iMessage spinning wheel problem

 In iMessage, while trying to send a message it shows spinning wheel and this is happening for a particular important contact's. Text message only has the grey spinning wheel at the top under their name in iMessage on iPhone 12,13 etc. Interestingly this is only happening for a few contacts across different platforms like One iPhone contact and one android contact

 

This is annoying for iPhone user while sending messages, you see a single text message, but closing and reopening iMessage, makes it appear as if its the first time. With the latest iPhone 14 pro it is pretty frustrating as sending messages is supposed to be a basic critical phone function

 

How to fix iMessage Spinning wheel issue :  iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Min, 13,11,XS, X, XR iPad/ iOS 16 ?

 

Solution 1:

Easy Solution is going to settings of iMessage, clicking on your name on top of the screen, click iCloud, show all, then making sure "messages" is switched from off to on. Allow the messages to backup to Icloud (wifi+plugged in). This solved for many users and spinning wheel problem fixed after that.

 

Solution  2:

 

To fix iMessage spinning wheel try deleting the entire text string in iMessage, effectively starting the text string over, removes the spinning wheel. This seems to fix the issue but entire conversation will be lost in this.
