Many
iPhone XR /XS Max, 7/8 Plus on iOS 12.2, users are facing issue in adding Cineworld
booking to passbook. The app is unable to add any of email ticket to passbook
or Apple wallet and it was working all good till sometimes back. There are no clue why Cineworld app is unable to add booking in passbook or Apple wallet.

the passbook is a unique way to store loyalty cards, flight information,
coupons, gift cards, and member’s cards right etc on your iPhone. Many
merchants will even scan your iPhone in order to take payment or redeem points.
The Passbook feature in iPhone is available above iOS 6 version.
Why Cineworld App is not working with passbook:
But the
cineworld tickets not adding to passbook or wallet app in iPhone seems to
related to it Cineworld app. When contacted to Apple regarding the issue they
have informed that it is a security issue from Cineworld’s end with the QR code
and passbook/ apple wallet connectivity. The Cineworld app is required to
update its security certificate on Appstore. For now you can contact cineworld
through email and ask them for further support to resolve the issue.

Workaround
for the issue when Unable to add Cineworld bookings to passbook on iPhone XR,
XS Max,8, 7 , 6s Plus::
Since it’s
an app issue rather than iOS software bug, there does not seems to be a way to
make application work without valid certificates. So meanwhile you may chose to
use your email app to show your QR code, until Cineworld app comes up with a
update.
